From Highway 61 in Tofte, turn left at County Road 2 (Sawbill Trail) and drive to Forest Road 170.
Turn right on FR 170, and take a left on Forest Road 1272 to Baker Lake Campground.
2. Ball Campground
Boat launch on Ball Club Lake with 1 Free Campsite, stay for up to 14 days at a time.
3. Cascade River Campground
Cascade River Campground is a small camping area along the Cascade River with 3 rustic campsites. Camping is Free. From Grand Marais, take County
Road 12 (Gunflint Trail) to County Road 8. Located on Forest Road 158.
4. Cascade River State Park Campground
This State Park has a campground with 40 drive-in campsites, 2 group campsites, and 5 backpack campsites. Cascade River State Park Campground is open for
the summer season from May through October. Public restrooms with showers are available.
5. Clara Lake Campground
Clara Lake Campground has 3 rustic campsites, with boat launch on Clara Lake. Free Camping, no fee for use of the campsites.
From Lutsen, head north on highway 61 to County Road 4 (Caribou Trail). Take County Road 4 (Caribou Trail) to Forest Road 340. Turn left on Forest Road 340. Clara
Lake Campground is located on the right side.
6. Crescent Lake Campground
Crescent Lake Campground has 33 campsites, with boat launch and fishing pier.
From highway 61 in Tofte, turn on County Road 2 (Sawbill Trail).
From Sawbill Trail, turn right on Forest Road 170 and drive to the Crescent Lake Campground entrance.
8. Devil Track Lake Campground
Devil Track Lake Campground has 16 campsites, with boat launch/canoe access on Devil Track Lake.
From Grand Marais, take County Road 12 (Gunflint Trail) to County Road 8. Located on Devil Track Rd (fire number 1616).
10. Esther Lake Campground
Esther Lake Campground has 3 rustic campsites that are first come, first serve. The campground also has a boat
launch on Esther Lake.
12. Fort Charlotte
Fort Charlotte requires a little work to get there, but if you prefer being miles away from every one else
than this is the place for you.
Fort Charlotte is a walk-in campsite and is located at the end of the 9 mile hike known as The Grand Portage
Trail. The campsite is free but you will need to pick up a backcountry permit from the Heritage Center or at one of three registration
boxes located along Highway 61. The campground is located on the Pigeon River and has 2 campsites with a platform for your tent. There is also an outhouse near the campsites.
14. Grand Marais RV Park and Campground
Grand Marais RV Park and Campground has 300 campsites and is located along highway 61 in Grand Marais. The campground offers campsites along the shores of Lake Superior.
16. Iron Lake Campground
Iron Lake Campground has 7 campsites with canoe access on Iron Lake. Access to the BWCA from Iron Lake.
From Grand Marais, take the Gunflint Trail (County road 12) to the Old Gunflint Trail (County Rd 92). Follow the signs to the Campground entrance.
18. Kimball Lake Campground
Kimball Lake Campground has 10 campsites, with a picnic area and boat launch on Kimball Lake.
From Grand Marais, take highway 61 to County Road 12 (Gunflint Trail). Follow the Gunflint Trail (County Road 12) to Forest Road 140 (Trout Lake Rd). Turn right on Forest Road 140 and the entrance to the campground is on the right.
20. Temperance River Campground
Temperance River Campground has 9 campsites available.
From highway 61 at Tofte, turn on County Road 2 (Sawbill Trail). Follow County Road 2 to the Temperance River Campground. The campground entrance is on the left.
22. Toohey Campground
Toohey Lake Campground has 7 rustic campsites with a boat launch and dock on Toohey Lake.
From highway 61 in Tofte, take County Road 2 (Sawbill Trail) to Forest Road 170.
Turn left on Forest Road 170 and drive to Toohey Lake. Toohey Lake Campground is located on the right just off Forest Road 170.
24. Two Island Lake Campground
Two Island Lake Campground has 38 campsites and lake access with dock on Two Island Lake.
From Grand Marais, take County Road 12 (Gunflint Trail) to County Road 8. Take County Road 27 (Ball Club Road) to Two Island Lake Campground (fire number 829).
26. White Pine Lake Campground
White Pine Lake Campground has 3 rustic campsites, with boat launch and a fishing pier. Free Camping, no fee for use of the campsites.
From Lutsen, take County Road 4 (Caribou Trail) to Forest Road 164 (Honeymoon Trail). Turn left on FR 164 to White Pine Lake Campground. Campground is on the right.
